Jake still loves swimming.

I took my camera to his swim class again. I even brought a flash this time since the place is a bit dark.  Seemed to help.  Shots turned out quite good if I do say so myself.

This was Monday after he was sick all weekend and he was still happy as can be swimming around.

Hi Dad!

Hello there.  She's 5 months older.  I guess Jake is fairly large (although she was a preme too).

I can knock that over... no problem.

We got snow in Austin... who knew?

We got around 3-4 inches of snow at our house today.  Got kicked out of work a little early as well.  Some of the "kids" in the neighborhood made some snowmen.

Belated Christmas.

I guess it's only fitting that I finally post Christmas photos since I didn't take my lights down until today.  We had an unplanned trip to St. Louis that took up a couple of weekends.  Anyway.  Jake continues to grow and learn new skills.  He's really turning into quite the little man.  He's happy just about all of the time, laughs histerically, smiles, rolls around, sits like a champion, and even attemps to swim.

Jake's normal "What's going on over there" look.

He's getting so big...

Finally got around to taking some pictures and getting them online.  Jake keeps growing and growing.

I even took some more Christmas type photos in the living room with window lighting.  Turned out pretty good.

August and September

August and part of September has already come and past.  Things have been pretty hectic around these parts.  Jake is at Day Care now, my nephew Joey had multiple heart surgerys over the last couple of weeks, so the picture taking has been minimal.  I finally got around to taking some over the last couple of weekends for some friends kids birthday parties.  Here's some highlights!

St. Louis trip!

We spent 12 days in St. Louis ending last week. Had a great time. Everybody got to finally meet Jake, we went to a great wedding, and managed to get to a Cardinal game. Here's some pictures from the trip. Jake and his cousin Joey. DSC_4882

A lot more pictures are on flickr.

I am a slacker, Jake updates...

So I figured I'd be updating this page more often than before, but that somehow isn't the case.  I think the whole facebook/flickr thing is taking over the blog and I'm just not sure if there's anybody who reads this and not facebook.  If there are, let me know.

Anyway.  I like the blog style better than facebook for most of these things anyway, so I should try to get a post up here whenever I add some photos to keep it alive.

Jake is doing well.  He's sleeping well, growing very quickly (over 10lbs already), looks at everything, is very alert, and has sort of started smiling (which is cool).

I have some photos taken randomly (including last weekend with my dad) that I haven't processed yet.  I'll get some time one of these evenings to do that.  Here's some you may have missed from before.

Time to go home...

More Jake pictures.

Just wanted to add a few more shots of Jake during his first day or so of life in the universe.  I dub him "Mostly Harmless."

So you're my mommy?

Baby's first picture ever.  He's still a little blue, and it's probably the worst "photo" of him I'll ever let you see.  But hey... it's sentimental.

Jacob Daniel, 6lbs 13.5oz 19.5" born 5-10-09 9:35am

Well Casey and I went to the hospital this morning at around 1AM.  8 and a half hours later our son was born!

Baby and mother are both doing great.  I will be posting pictures eventually... when I get some time.  Sorry to some people we didn't get a chance to call... SOMEBODY broke the news on facebook before we wanted.  Oh well... less phone calls this way :).

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Sunday Funday...

On Sunday we went with a bunch of the neighbors to a restaurant on Lake Travis to enjoy the perfect weather we were having.  Brought the camera and grabbed some shots.  Just a bit of a look at our all growed up lifestyle.

The lake appears to be down quite a bit.  That's the restaurant on the left.  The ramp at the bottom was floating about 20 feet in the air.
