Birthdays and random trips downtown.

Just updating with some new pictures taken over the last month or so.  I haven't had a lot of free time due to a huge project at work finally coming to a close.  Been working weekends and Holidays for the last month or so.  This should finally stop this weekend...

Nikon just released the next camera I want to own.

Padres @ Cardinals on July 17th, 2008

I managed to get to a Cardinal game when I was in town for Val's wedding.  I got the images we took during the game from my dad and finally got around to processing them with the newly released Lightroom 2.0.  So far so good... although I had some performance problems that seem to have been fixed after realizing Adobe can't figure out if your processor is 64-bit by themselves.

Congratulations to Val and Doug!

I was in St. Louis last week for my younger sister Val's wedding.  I just wanted to say congratulations to them!

Here's a picture of the happy couple on their wedding day.

Some film

I took a few rolls of film over the last few months and finally got them developed.  Some where taken at some bbq's around 'the cove' (our circle where our house is), others in Florida and Austin with some of Casey's family.

Perdido Key, FL vacation

Spent last week in Florida on vacation with a large portion of Casey's family. There were about 30 people total staying in 3 large condos right on the ocean. Had a great time relaxing, swimming, and fishing. Just wanted to share some vacation shots.

April Fools shot 21/30 Casey 2

Just a candid.  Wife and I went on a quick walk, grabbed her checking out the lake.

April Fools shot 20/30 Cousin

Alright... Been stuck at work far too much this week.  I was still unable to get outside during the day and too pooped to shoot anything right now.  Here's another one from earlier in the month.

So I was shooting outside (remember the trees and stars shot?) and noticed my wife's cousin starting a little tantrum.  I had the camera and basically set it up to let in as much light as I could while hand holding.  There was basically no light hitting her.  The only light was being reflected off of the pool wall from overhead flood lights.

I liked her expression so much that I had to process it.  I pushed it 4 full stops in post (lightroom's limit), so it's essentially an ISO25600 shot.  You do NOT want to see the color version.

April Fools shot 19/30 Clouds 2

I seem to have gotten a couple of days behind.  Gotta play catchup one of these days.  Been busy, but I wanted to post something today.  Here's a full color shot from that cloud formation from the other day.  A bit weak to use the same subjects, but I didn't want to post another portrait .
